Parent & Pēpi Groups
While the saying "it takes a village to raise a child" may not fit neatly into today’s modern context, the spirit of community remains as crucial as ever.
The Caul to Parenting Connection and Education sessions offer a welcoming and inclusive environment for all parents, whether you're welcoming your first child or your fifth. Our sessions provide a supportive space to ask questions, share concerns, and connect with other parents, creating your own modern-day village.
We offer three different parenting group options to suit the age/stage of your child. Held during school terms over 8 weeks, these sessions are designed for you and your baby/toddler. You'll benefit from a diverse lineup of guest speakers who will cover a range of topics from well-being and nutrition to baby first aid and more. We also provide age appropriate resources and activities with your Childs developmental stage in mind!
Additionally, there will be ample time for guided discussions with your facilitator or simply a chance to relax, connect, and share your experiences over a hot drink and a bite to eat.

Sandra Cully
I am a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and Sleep Consultant and have worked with children and their families for over 25 years. I have always had a huge interest in the Pikler/RIE approach and the philosophy of the Childcare centre I owned for 20 years strongly reflected this.
After selling our centre, I decided to further my education and am currently working towards becoming a Pikler Pedagogue, a process which takes many years of study, broken up with practical experience, and finishing with a thesis. My special interest areas are Motor Development and Sleep! I am also half way through my psychology degree.
I am absolutely passionate about supporting children and their families and I am looking forward to meeting you all.
Anya Bell
I’m Anya Bell, founder of The Nourish Approach™, Head Chef and Nutrition Advisor at Nurture Early Learning, and a culinary-nutrition strategist specialising in the early years. My work weaves together wholefood cooking, child development, and respectful feeding practices to help families and early learning teams move from chaos to calm at mealtimes.
At Nurture, I lead our centre-wide nutrition culture—designing menus, coaching teachers on responsive feeding, and supporting families as they navigate the learning-to-eat years. My approach is grounded in current research on infant and toddler nutrition, including the importance of the first 1000 days, nutrient density, and calm, predictable feeding environments that support children’s emotional safety and appetite regulation .
Together, we’ll look at simple, real-food approaches; how to honour your baby’s cues; and how to make mealtimes a calm, connected part of your whānau rhythm—an approach reflected in my framework, The Art of Respectful Feeding
