Congratulations, parenthood is just around the corner.

Starting out as a new parent is an exciting, yet daunting time. Antenatal classes are a great way to demystify assumptions and form clear expectations about what your pregnancy, birthing and early-parenthood journey may look like.

What we cover:

    • Late Stage Pregnancy Health and Wellbeing: Food safety, screening and testing options, Physical health and wellbeing for you and baby

    • Warning signs in pregnancy - what to look out for and when to contact your LMC

    • Informed consent and Decision making : How to do this and the role your support person plays.

    • Optimal Foetal Positioning - what you can do to help baby be in the best position for birth.

    • Birth place options - where is right for you and how to make that decision

    • Physiological Labour - What labour looks like when it unfolds physiologically when no interventions are needed.

    • Coping with labour - self help tools and techniques as well as medical pain relief options.

    • When help is needed - inductions, instrumental deliveries, caesarean sections.

    • Information about SCBU and NICU - for babies born early or with health conditions.

    • The immediate postpartum period.

    • Feeding your baby - Breastfeeding AND bottle/formula feeding

    • Postpartum Physical wellbeing

    • Postpartum Emotional Wellbeing

    • Planning for the Fourth Trimester

Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

At Caul to Parenting, we keep our class sizes small to ensure an intimate, supportive environment for all families. Because of this, late cancellations significantly impact our community and our ability to cover costs for venues and specialized guest speakers.

Cancellation & Refunds:

  • More than 14 days’ notice: If you cancel at least two weeks before your course start date, you will receive a full refund (minus any non-refundable booking fees if applicable).

  • Less than 14 days’ notice: If you cancel within two weeks of the course start date, a 50% partial refund will be provided. This helps cover the fixed costs already committed to your spot.

  • Within 48 hours or non-attendance: We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made within 48 hours of the course start date or for non-attendance.

Exceptional Circumstances: We understand that pregnancy and life with a newborn can be unpredictable. If you give birth earlier than expected or have a medical emergency that prevents you from attending, please reach out to us as soon as possible. In these instances, we will do our best to offer a credit toward a future course or a Parent & Pēpi group.

Course Postponement: In the unlikely event that we must cancel or postpone a course due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to the next available date.
